China Glaze Be Merry, Be Bright

Happy Saturday Loves! I hope you're all having a great weekend! I had a great time last night at my "Christmas in the Village" event and now I am really in the Christmas mood. I'm finishing off my Christmas shopping today and I'm even going to start decorating!

The final polish from the gorgeous China Glaze Touch of Twinkle set I was sent by the awesome Nail Polish Canada is Be Merry, Be Bright. This polish is a great layering glitter. It has clear base filled with different sized pink and purple hex glitter. This is definitely a layering glitter and not a glitter to wear on it's own. I tried to make it opaque and it does have a bit of a thicker texture and after 3 coats I still had bald patches and it was very lumpy. Instead, I layered 1 coat of it over Essie ChinChilly. It's very festive and I can't wait to try some other layering combinations!

I love Holiday Glitters and this is no exception. Once again you can find Be Merry, Be Bright here individually, or as part of the Trio I received here

I want to thank Nail Polish Canada so much for sending me these great Christmas polishes to review just in time for the beginning of the season. They have definitely helped me get into the Christmas mood and I hope they've helped you too!

Happy Saturday and Thanks for reading <3

Nail Polish Canada Challenge Week 1: Snow!

Happy Thursday my loves & Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends! I hope you're all enjoying Turkey and lots and lots of pie, and then getting lots of sleep in preparation for Black Friday (if that's your style).

Nail Polish Canada is once again holding their 2nd Annual Holiday Nail Art Challenge. I definitely enjoy nail art, and while I'm not artistically inclined at all, I love nail art challenges!

Week 1's theme was "Snow!" which always makes me think of snowflakes! It's very fitting that this week's challenge is snow, since we just got enough dumped on us to cover all the green! I used Cult Nails Princess and stamped over it with Pueen stamping plate 17 and Sally Hansen Silver Sweep.

It's a fairly simple design, but I love this plate and bought it just for the snowflakes!

You can see my entry here and you can vote for your favourite manicure!

China Glaze Just Be-Claws

Happy Wednesday my loves! I hope everyone's week is just speeding by! Mine is packed full of meetings, commitment and work, but sadly I've been having some fantastic (read: NOT) migraines that have been making it seem like I am never going to get to Friday. It is definitely that time of year where I come home from work around 3:30 and I just want to get into bed and not leave, it's so cold & dark!

Today I have for you another gorgeous China Glaze Holiday polish, Just Be-Claws from Nail Polish Canada. This might be my favourite red that I own, which is saying a lot because I rarely buy reds since they are all so similar and, well, red! China Glaze always seems to knock it out of the parks and make their red polishes so appealing and this is no exception. Just Be-Claws is a bright Christmas red with that gorgeous glass-fleck style shimmer that China Glaze does so well. The formula on this one was just as amazing, 2 easy coats and it seems to wear well on my nails. These swatches are also without topcoat so you can see how lovely and shiny the polish is.

This polish really seemed to glow from within and after swatching this I instantly had to stamp over it, which you'll see in a few days! I loved how it looked and didn't want to take it off!

China Glaze Santa Red My List

Happy Monday my loves! It's almost the end of November, and even though I have been in the Christmas mood since Halloween, it's really starting to be "the Christmas season" where I live. Soon I will be able to convince my parents to turn our Christmas lights on and decorate a bit and I will be very happy! We don't get to decorate a tree until late December, but that's because we always get a real tree.

Nail Polish Canada obviously understands the obsession over Christmas and they very generously sent me the "Touch of Twinkle" Holiday Set from China Glaze. Today I have one of the polishes from that trio to show you.

Santa Red My List is a pink-red foil and even though I usually stay away from reds, the pink is what pulled me. This polish is fantastic, I could have gotten away with one coat, but I did two just to ensure no bald spots. I love the foil finish and upon removal there wasn't too much metallic glitter in my cuticles like I usually find, so it's an all-around win for me! I just ordered some new image plates so I am excited to try this one out with some stamping over top in the future! All swatches are without top coat so you can see how wonderful it is all by itself.

I'm sure there are many polishes out there similar to this, but since I don't own any, I am happy to include it in my collection!

You can purchase Santa Red My List here individually or in the "Touch of Twinkle" set here

I Forgot I Had This...

Hi my loves, Happy Wednesday. How is everyone's November going? Mine is whipping by, since by this weekend, November will almost be half over. I'm sure all my American friends are getting ready/excited for Thanksgiving! I am slowly planning out all my Christmas shopping, a lot of it seems to be online, which is great because I am hating shopping malls these days! I am hoping to get all my shopping done by the first week of December so I can enjoy decorating, wrapping and baking!

This manicure is a bit boring, and I think that's why I managed to forget it in my photos album on my computer. I did this manicure way back in the beginning of September! My sister had come home for a few days before her trip to Australia and I requested she bring me some polishes because I was bored of all of mine. I used Essie Vermillionaire and No Place Like Chrome. I had wanted something fall-esque, even though it was still early September and No Place Like Chrome is my favourite polish I don't own.

I still don't have a memory card for my camera, but I will be going out to get one, since I'm getting in the Christmas mood and Christmas manicures are my favourite to create!

BB Couture PlayBoy

Happy Sunday Loves! Here in Canada (well in Ontario) we just changed from Daylight Savings Time to Standard time yesterday, so I got an extra hour of sleep, which was great! I also went out and had my first Starbuck's Peppermint Mocha in a Red Cup of the season so my weekend has been pretty fantastic overall (the little things make me happy!)

BB Couture Play Boy is a polish I reach for when I want something that will look nice and last on my nails. For some reason this polish wears like iron on me, and since it's got some micro glitter, it's prettier than your average cream. I rarely wear it because the bottles always seem to hide in my helmer, so after putting it on, I rearranged what bottles went where so I would see it more!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and looking forward to November beginning!
