Chit Chat Nails Inspired...Again

Happy Tuesday my loves! I can't believe October is almost over, however that means I can start looking forward to Christmas. Christmas is my favourite season, and since my family always hosts a huge family gathering, planning starts early! I spent all of Saturday going a little bit pinterest-crazy and pinned a whole bunch of Christmas decorating ideas, recipes and the like. I'm also excited for November to start because that means Red Cup season at Starbucks!!! I know I am crazy.

On another note, I haven't been posting here because I broke my memory card about a week ago, and last week also was one of my busiest weeks, both work-wise and volunteer-wise, and I literally didn't paint my nails for a week. I have to go get a new memory card at some point, but I do have a few manicures prepped on my blog to keep me going! (At least I'll try)

Marta posted this manicure on her blog a few weeks ago and on instagram and once I saw it, I knew I had to try it. I wanted it to be a bit more "seasonally appropriate" so I used orange and black instead of neon yellow. This manicure also reminds me that as soon as I can find piCture pOlish Beige somewhere, I am going to snap it up! What a perfect nude. I used Misa Pay Days Are Happy Days for my base, then OPI Shorts Story and China Glaze Liquid Leather and some scotch tape! Voila, quick, easy fall manicure!

I hope you're all having a fantastic week and looking forward to Halloween on Thursday!

A Simple Thanksgiving Manicure

Happy Thursday Loves! This week has flown by because it's a short week for us here in Canada, due to Thanksgiving this past weekend. I'm looking forward to today because the school I'm supplying at has their "Parent-Teacher" Conferences today, and they end their school day early, yay!

So, I wanted a simple manicure for Thanksgiving because I was somewhat lazy and I didn't like ANY of my stamps. So I settled on a simple glitter sponged gradient tip manicure. I used OPI Bubble Bath as the base and sponged with China Glaze I Herd That. I haven't done one of these in a while and I can't remember why, because this turned out so well!

Happy Thursday my dears! Thanks for reading <3

piCture pOlish Demeter, my Fall Staple

Happy Thursday loves! I have tomorrow off, and next Monday, and I can't wait to relax. Sunday is Thanksgiving for me, and I intend on eating lots of good food! My boyfriend's family is going to go waterfall hiking near their house, then a little relaxation at a sports bar, followed by dinner! I can't wait!

I rarely wear brown, and as I have probably mentioned, I only own 1 shade of brown nail polish. piCture pOlish Demeter, created by Katie of Harlow and Co, is a jelly-ish chocolate brown with holographic flecks, and anytime I feel the need for something "cozy" on my nails, I reach for Demeter. It just looks SO beautiful in the sun, and it gets me so many compliments!

If you're Canadian, I hope you all have wonderful Thanksgivings! I'm looking forward to time to relax with friends, family, and food and reflect on the little things that make me thankful!

If you're not celebrating Thankgiving, I hope you have wonderful weekends regardless and Thanks for reading! <3

Review, NCLA Wraps, So LA!

Happy Monday my loves! It's a short week here for me, Thanksgiving (in Canada) is this coming weekend and the schools have both Friday and next Monday off, so I'm looking forward to 2 short weeks in a row! I can't believe how quickly halloween is coming up, I'll have to start looking at manicures to do!

This review should have been up weeks ago, but in my bedroom shuffle, my memory card got lost and I am somewhat forgetful these days, so I apologize! I've tried nail wraps before, however these have become hands down my new favourites, and I have several other styles to add to my to-buy list! Harlow & Co now carries NCLA polishes AND wraps, and let me tell you, this is one of my new favourite brands!

So LA! wraps are gorgeous, easy-to use nail wraps. They come with 26 adhesive stickers, these ones have an ombre/sunset style background with palm trees, and you can use them to create a full manicure, or accent nails. As long as you re-seal the leftover wraps, a whole package will last you a long time and for $16, that's a deal! I wanted a full manicure, so I followed the directions, I used a base coat, chose (with some trial and error) the correct size wrap, and filed. Sadly, as you can see, I was a little overzealous with my filing (MY error, not NCLA) and so there is a bit of nail in my photos. However, once topped with topcoat, these babies LAST. I can't tell you how much I love these and I intend on making the "It Don't Matter"  and "Fowl Play" sets part of my collection.

If you need more proof as to how amazing/how cute these are, especially in an accent manicure, check out Marta's review of the Fairy Floss set!

These wraps, as well as the many gorgeous polishes from NCLA are available at Harlow & Co. They offer free shipping to Canada and the US on orders over $50, and free international shipping on orders over $75!

Thanks for reading and I hope you love these wraps as much as I did! <3
