Navy Blue and a Car

Hi Loves! Happy Saturday! I hope you're all having a great weekend. The weather here is starting to get warmer and we're supposed to have some nice sunny, warm days coming up so I'm excited. Tonight I'm hosting a local Euchre tournament (even though I can't play!) so my weekend is pretty busy!

On Thursday I posted I was picking up a new car, and obviously the occasion called for matching nails. I didn't have a colour the exact shade of my car (woe is me) but I had one that was pretty close. Zoya Ibiza, a deep midnight blue shimmer, is one of my favourite shades of navy blue of all time. And, then I wanted to stamp it, but OMG I didn't have a plate with any car/tire/mechanics images. AT ALL. I actually am stunned. I am sure there is one out there (and MrsRexy of Canadian Nail Fanatic probably has that plate!) so I had to settle on this flower image from the 3rd BM set.

The colour in the bottle seems much more similar to my car, than on my nails!

And now, my new (to me!) car! I am so excited still!

Thanks for reading & have a great Saturday!

Classic Leopard

Hi Loves! Happy Thursday! I am so excited today because, I am picking up my new-to-me car! I can't wait, this is my first car that is actually mine, not shared with siblings and I can't wait! I definitely painted my nails to match the car so I'll have to show you these this weekend!

When I went to New Jersey/NYC a couple weeks ago, I agonized over what to wear on my nails. Eventually I settled on a class leopard print, since I almost bought a set of Sally Hansen nail strips with a leopard print. I used China Glaze Passion as a base with Cult Nails Nevermore and Konad plate m57. These nails lasted over a week with minor tip wear, and I could probably have worn it for another week if it had held up!

Another Marta-Inspired Skittlette

Happy Monday Loves! I can't believe April is half over and I literally don't know where last week went. I'm sorry for the week-long absence, I really have no explanation other than laziness and a lack of inspiration! I'm hoping as the weather warms up I am able to get back into a regular posting schedule.

So Marta posted this skittlette on Instagram  about a week ago, and then on her blog on Wednesday and I knew this was one that I would recreate. When I saw it instagram she didn't post what she used, so I obviously had to improvise. I also didn't have any square studs, so I added some glitter to my accent nail instead. My pink is OPI MBSW and konad plate m57, my ring, index and thumb are NOPI My Lifesaver and my index is Cult Nails Nevermore topped with Ozotic 528. I am seriously loving this manicure, not sure about you?!

I hope you're all having a great Monday, Thanks for reading <3

Sunday Stamping

Hello Sunday Readers!

I hope everyone had an excellent weekend! As I write this I'm about to head to work and tonight my restaurant is having a staff party, so it's safe to say that when you read this I will probably be feeling NOT the best as it will have been day two of drinking ;)

Anyways I have some cute stamping for you. I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Jungle Gem. I have worn this beauty 3 times since I purchased it! LOVE IT LOVE IT! I used 2 coats, and Revlon Top Coat.

I then stamped with OPI MBSW to achieve a semi transparent look and I loved it!

I loved the way this looked

I even double stamped here and I don't think it's noticeable!
This polish is so durable! I wore it for 3 days and only a teeny tiny chip, I need MORE of this brand now!<3

Beige Flowers

Happy Monday! I hope you're all having a great start to your week. I'm finishing up my "mini-vacation" in the states and I'll be heading back to Canada tonight!

It's been sort of cold and blah these past few days, even though it's supposed to be spring time, so I felt like my nails had to reflect that.

I used Misa Pay Days Are Happy Days and stamped it with BM plate 308 & the flower pot image with konad special polish in white.

Happy Monday <3

Swatchy Spam for Spring!

Happy Sunday Friends :)

I've recently purchased a few different colors that I haven't shared on the blog so I've got a round up of these colors.

First up is Essie's Play Date, I love this cute and springy purple! It's a nice creme-jelly hybrid, and I only did 2 coats, but I should've done 3. It looked opaque until I took photos :S

Look slightly brighter IRL

should've done 3 coats. Darn.

Next up I have a quick photo of Essie Sleek Sticks in Sneek-E. I loved these but man, they do NOT stick to my nails. And as I found out last time, you do not add a top coat to these. Grr. I really wanted to love them but they peeled off quickly :(

you can see on my pinky and middle finger :(

Lastly, I have one quick shot of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Jungle Gem. This is a flawless polish. The brush is awesome and I had no clean up, and it didn't chip until I did some serious dishes and house cleaning! I want more from the Under the Sea line!

Beautiful teal that leans more blue. LOVE IT

So there you have it! Just some new spring colors. Nothing exciting but new to my stash! What have you been wearing lately?

Happy Friday

Happy Friday my Loves! I am officially on vacation! My mom and I drove to New Jersey last night, we'll be spending a couple days here, taking in some shopping ( the person we're visiting lives in a 30 minute radius of about 8 malls..amazing!) and hopefully making our way in NYC for a day, if the weather is nice!

Every once and a while, in order to motivate myself to get back into stamping, I flip through my Bundle Monster plate holder and focus on the plates that I've never used! BM 307 has an image of butterflies that I'd never noticed until the other day. I stamped it with China Glaze Passion over China Glaze Man Hunt.

I hope you're all having a fantastic Friday & have a great weekend! I'll be back on Monday <3

A Classic

Happy Wednesday! I'm sorry I haven't been posting, I've been not interested in photographing my nails lately, which makes me feel like a bad blogger. I've just been painting them plain cremes and wearing them until they chip. Tomorrow my mom & I are going to New Jersey/New York City for 4 days, so I'll try to schedule some posts to go up while I'm gone. I think I'll try out some new nail strips while I'm gone!

So, one of the plain colours I've been wearing lately is probably my favourite one of all time. OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. I love this blackened plum colour so much, my bottle is almost half gone. I could seriously wear this most days of my life because I think it looks great on short and long nails!

I hope you've all been enjoying the spring, I can't wait for my "mini-vacation" since New Jersey/New York is certainly warmer than where I am!

Orange and Turquoise

Hi Loves, Happy Thursday!  I love 4 day weeks, I can't believe it's almost the weekend but yay! My mom and I finally booked a trip to New Jersey/New York to see some family friends, and we'll be going next weekend, I can't wait!

I'm all for unseasonally appropriate nails, but I do like to transition to spring, and so I was searching through my helmers for some "spring" inspiration. I decided to wear some orange, since it's everywhere, and it's a colour I can't really wear clothes/makeup-wise, since it doesn't flatter my skin tone. I used China Glaze Papaya Punch and Essie Turquoise and Caicos, and topped them with China Glaze White Cap.

Belated Easter Nails

Hi loves, Happy Tuesday! I'm sorry I've been a bit blog MIA, I spent this past weekend at Church (typical Easter), hanging out with family/my boyfriend and then yesterday, on my day off, I was sick :( I'm feeling a bit better but I'm booked to supply teach every day this week, so I'll have to suck it up and get on with it!

I saw nails like these on instagram (not sure who's, if you know, let me know in the comments!) and I tried to recreate them using polishes I owned! The base is a pink franken, and the dots are NOPI My Lifesaver, NCLA As If!, NCLA Tennis Anyone.

I didn't love how this turned out, I'm not sure why, but I think I'll have to try other dotted manicures in the future, because I did like the idea of polka dots!

Thanks for reading loves <3
