China Glaze Stone Cold

Happy Wednesday Loves! It's hump day, and while this week has been amazingly boring and I've still been unemployed, my sister is visiting to borrow some snowboarding gear, so at least I have someone to hang out with today, and hopefully today will be a fun mid-week pick up!

Our weather in Central/Southern Ontario has been gross this past week/weekend, lots of rain/freezing rain, fog, bleh grey January weather that I hate.  And even though this polish somewhat matches the mood of the weather, to me it's such an awesome polish that it lifts my spirits! China Glaze Stone Cold is one my favourite polishes that they put out from the Hunger Games collection, and probably of all time. I loveeeeee matte polishes and this one is so pretty!

Even though I love it matte, it does look pretty awesome with a topcoat!

A-England Geometry

Hi loves! Happy Monday, I hope all your weekends were great. I spent mine somewhat snowed-in once I made it to my boyfriends. They have about 4 ft of snow..which was pretty, but there wasn't too much to do. I still enjoyed my time, since we don't see each other that often.

So, last week I showed you A-England Dragon, and so today I have it a little bit jazzed up. I stamped it in silver with this geometric-looking BM design. I love how it looks. I know Adina is having some issues with shipping due to Royal Mail now enforcing no polish/hazardous material being shipped, but I am sure she will work it out. You can also still get A-England at Ninja Polish if you're still desperate.

I hope you all have a great Monday :)

Essie Where's My Chauffeur and a Nail Update

Happy Sunday Friends!
Where did January go? I can't believe it's almost over...although that makes me excited because it's one less month of snowy weather ;). I enjoy the idea of snow, but...I'm always cold, so summer is my jam.

I have another one of the Essie Winter Collection for you, the third of the 4 in my mini box set.
This one is Where's My Chauffeur, another beautiful Tiffany Blue! I think I might have to pull all of the Blue's in my stash and do a comparison, I know some are more blue or teal or green but might be interesting to see! It's definitely VERY similar to A-England Gallahad (I think...)

This is 2 coats with NYC Top Coat. Some of the pictures look bumpy, but it was the weird shadows I was getting. Sadly the lightbulb in my OTT light died (I think it fell off the counter and broke :( boo) So of course, right after I make a lightbox I can't use it. Ah well, such nail polish/white girl problems, eh?

Also I included a picture of my sad, discolored, but much stronger, and healthier nails, I am loving this Barielle protein rebuilder!!

This was 5 days ago, and my nails have grown since and I've shaped them. Ugh sorry they're yellow :(

Pretty robin's egg blue

Very winter appropriate I think!

That's all for today! Hopefully next week I will have some Superbowl Nails thought up? Also, if you haven't done so, Katie from Harlow and Co. is hosting a Valentine's day Nail contest!! You can enter up to the 31st of January and then voting for prizes is after that! Head on over here to find out all the details! I'm currently puzzling a manicure to enter as we speak!

OPI Ink Suede

Happy Saturday Loves! I'm up in the land of snow for the weekend. I so easily forget that where I live gets very little snow in winter. Right now we have none, but visiting my boyfriend 3 hours north of me..and hello 4 feet of snow!

So, I've been reorganizing & destashing my Helmer somewhat, which always makes me come across polish I forget I own, or remember how much I love it. Which means I need to wear it ASAP. So I did. OPI Ink Suede is so cool..I love the texture of the suede polishes & I'm sad this is the only one I have!

I don't know why my ring finger nail looks so wonky :/

and with topcoat, just to see that beautiful sparkle.
I love the polish, both without top coat and with. Without topcoat you get to see the depth this pretty blue has, so much sparkle..but I love it all shiny too ;)

Thanks for reading lovelies <3 Have a happy Saturday!

So...I missed my Blogoversary

Hi loves, Happy Friday. I've had a slow week, but at least it's Friday right? I'm hopefully going to be going up to visit my boyfriend, since I haven't seen him in a few weeks.

So, 2 years! I don't know how I managed to miss posting this on Monday, since I've been thinking about it/talking about it for over a month. Oh well, I remembered now so yay *does a dance!* I'm really proud of myself that I've been able to keep up with the blogging over 2 years. A lot has changed, i.e. my nails, but also my life. I started this when I was finishing up my undergrad, and then it took me through Teacher's College, this past summer working in a Factory, and then this year, supply teaching! If you want to revist my first ever nails post (which you DON'T, because my nails/photos are horrid), take a trip down memory lane here and then last year's post, my nails still were completely different to how they are now.

And, so, today's manicure, to celebrate 2 years, A-England Dragon, a polish I don't wear enough, and even though I've posted about it before..I always feel like holos look better on long nails. So...drool away ;)

Ironically, or not, this A-England's gem of the month, and for a limited time only, it's only £6.00!
So, snag this bad boy up if you don't already have it!

Thanks for reading & Thanks for a wonderful 2 years! <3 I'm looking forward to 2013 and everything it brings
for the 3rd year of this blog!

A-England Galahad

Hi Loves, Happy Wednesday! I hope you're all having a great week, I'm pretty bored, I haven't been working too much & getting a bit disappointed that I've applied to a bunch of maternity leave positions and I haven't even gotten an interview. Oh well, I'm sure good things will come my way eventually. On the other hand, the weather is NOT helping, we're definitely over our January thaw and into "the dead of winter" phase, which is my favourite time of year *not*. I'm dreaming of spring today for sure!

So back in the summer, Adina had an awesome sale, and Katy and I splurged on a couple of shades. I haven't worn Galahad alone but since I was looking for something bright and cheeful, it was calling me. I love this shade of turquoise/blue, it definitely cheers me up to look at my nails! Sorry there is a bit of tip wear but it took a few days of wearing it before I was able to take some photos.

Thanks for reading loves, hope your Wednesday/week is going better than mine! <3

Purple Lightning

Hi Loves! Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a nice & restful weekend..and a good start to another week! Back to the grind right? I ordered 2 of the Nail Craze plates on the weekend and some Illamasqua's last week from their AMAZING sale, so I'm excited to get this mail! Now if only Shopper's would have a redemption day soon...I'd be set!

This is actually a more recent manicure, I usually try to show my nails in order of how I wear manicures but I loved this one so much I couldn't wait to show it to you! It's been a while since I've done a gradient manicure, and it was definitely high time for one! This is a base of China Glaze Light as Air, sponged with China Glaze Grape Pop, stamped with Bundle Monster 305 and Cult Nails Nevermore.

This is seriously one of my favourite manicures, I haven't done one that I've enjoyed this much in a while!

Essie Snap Happy

Hi Everyone :)
How has your weekend been? Any football fans out there? I've been sucked in so these last two Sundays have been all about the games!

*I just realized I left my spacer in because I had written this ahead of time. My bad! My nails are looking so strong an growing! I hope to show some progress pictures next week...maybe. My nails are awfully yellpw :S*

This week I'm continuing with showing off my new Essie Winter Collection purchases! I LOVED Snap Happy, although when I opened it, my brush was kind of wonky, but it didn't seem to affect the polish application at all. This is ONE COAT, and no top coat. Top coat would've made it shinier but I wanted to see how it dried (it was dry in under 5 minutes)

This is such a pretty color and I can't wait to stamp it!

Pretty shiny, even without TC

One of my fave Essie's by far!
Well that's all for me for this week friends, hopefully next week I'll have some fantastic nail's to show you after all these weeks of no polish!!

China Glaze Wagon Trail

Hi loves! Happy Saturday! I hope everyone's day is going well. This is not nail-related, just a bit of a side note ramble, I am officially obsessed with at-home peels. I bought 7 samples from Sephora, 2 Ole Henrickson ones, and 5 Dr. Dennis Gross ones..and I was hooked. So, then I bought a 30 pack of Bliss Incredipeel Daily Peel pads. I know, probably a bit excessive, but I think it's an investment in my skin, especially because I am slowly getting over some serious acne issues & have some scarring/skin imperfections. I love them, and if you follow me on instagram I'll probably be posting some updates.

Ok, so skincare sidenote over, after talking to Deborah on twitter, and seeing her post about China Glaze Wagon Trails, I knew I had to wear mine again. I got this in our awesome Ontario Blogger Meet-Up swap, after years of lusting over it due to Kirsten and her enabling & green-polish-hoarding ways. It's definitely an olive-toned green with gold undertones, and in my sun photos, it definitely pulls gold. I love this..and I need to wear it more. If you find this in a store, on eBay  in a swap or blog sale and you DON'T want it..well you're crazy..and you should pick it up anyways ;)

P.S. let's ignore how wonky my ring finger is, these photos were taken back around New Years and I was still growing out a minor break that I refused to chop all my nails down, and I also kept putting off properly filing my nail, sorry *hangs head in shame*.

China Glaze Emerald Sparkle

Happy Wednesday loves! I thankfully have worked 2 days so far in this pay period which means not a completely useless waste & I'll be getting something in my paycheque.

So, over December, I moaned over Instagram that I thought I would never get my hands on China Glaze Emerald Sparkle, and the lovely Deborah replied that she could send it to me. It was love. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Thank you SO much Deborah.

Turquoise & Polka Dots

Hola Lovers & Happy Monday! Did anyone watch the Golden Globes last night? I was mainly watching for the fashion & Tina/Amy...their opening was pretty freakin' funny.

Again, it might only be 2 weeks into January but I'm already craving spring colours. I picked up NOPI My Lifesaver and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and used a konad plate for the polka dots!

Not quite a "Marta-Skittlette" but don't worry, I have plenty of those rolling around in my brain!

Essie Beyond Cozy

 Happy Sunday Friends!

This week I am starting an experiment! As you'll see in the photos below (and next week's) my nails are teeny tiny, and my skin and cuticles are shot :( so I am taking a small break. I recently splurged and purchased Nail Envy and a Barielle protein re-builder  and will be using on both my toes and finger as a test for two weeks! Hopefully this gives my hands a slight rest!

Also I finally tested out my lightbox. I don't love the shots from this week, but I'm improving, so bear with me!!
Anyways, I also purchased the Essie Winter Collection minis, and this week I'm featuring Beyond Cozy, which was the sole reason for purchasing, as I couldn't find it anywhere! This is two coats with NYC top coat.

Close up bottle shot in the sun, show the color the best

Such pretty champagne glitter :)

Blurry, but very color accurate

Sorry about the sad fingers but I just had to wear this polish and show it off!
Well, there you have it...still playing around with the light box, maybe one day I'll get a real camera and do my lightbox justice! Have a great Sunday everyone :) <3

Pink, Bows and Glitter

Happy Saturday loves! I am having a hard time believing that it's already almost 2 weeks into January! I feel like this year is going to fly by! I hope you all had a good week, mine was pretty boring, no work, so I spent a lot of time watching TV  However, I am excited that my 2 year blogging anniversary is coming up in about 10 days! I can't believe it's been 2 years!

So, I wanted something really girly, and because now that I own OPI Mod About You, I definitely have the urge to wear it all the time, it's probably one of my favourite pinks. I sponged the tips with OPI Mad As A Hatter (I STILL can't believe I own this!), and stamped the ring fingers with a bow image from a konad plate and dotted the centre with MAAH as well.

I love this, although my Aunt told me that from far away it looked like my fingers were dirty, but at least it was sort of cute close up...*sigh* gotta love backhanded compliments, eh?

Thanks for reading & have an awesome Saturday <3

Purple Paisley

Hola & Happy Wednesday lovelies! It's hump day! Can you believe it, we're already 1 week into 2013. How're those resolutions coming? I don't set resolutions ordinarily, but I did set myself some goals that I want to accomplish, so hopefully those will all get done! As a side note, if you follow me on instagram (elizabethmegan3) you'll have seen that yesterday I received the BEST present from the lovely Deborah, China Glaze Emerald Sparkle! Eee!

So, I'm on sort of a neutral/simple kick lately, and these nails came to me one night in a dream, literally, in my dream I was wearing them! It's Dr. Remedy's Lively Lilac stamped with the paisley print from the Bundle Monster 300 series.

Happy Wednesday to you all! Thanks for reading <3
