A Nude I Might Wear Every Day

Hi my dears! How is everyone's Tuesday? Mine is ok, it's 1 more day closer to Friday! Ahah, can you tell I live Friday to Friday? Especially while I'm at school! Today is the last week of a 30 day workout challenge I've been doing, (it's from bodyrock.tv, if you were wondering!)

Katy got some polishes sent to our house, and I decided to borrow one from her, Samoan Sand, because it looked intriguing in the bottle. It's a nude, but I think I actually like it. I have no idea if it suits my skin tone but I would wear it all the time!

PS. Ignore the blue under my nails/around my index nail. Playboy stained a little bit :/ oh well, I'll forgive it!

Playboy Zebra

Hi loves, ugh it's Monday again. I just had a 4 day weekend and I already want it to be Friday again! I hate how even with extra days, Sunday goes by SO quickly!

Anyways, last week I showed you BB Couture Playboy, and I loved it so much that I couldn't just leave it alone!

I stamped it with konad white and plate m57, the zebra stripe image!

I loved it so much I wore it for like 4 days!

Anyways, short and sweet post, I'm just packing up to head back to school for my 12:30 class.

Ugly Nubbins

Happy Sunday Friends!
This week was an awesome week for me! I went to an event called "Keg Cup" up in Collingwood, where the premise is you make up a ski team for your restaurant and they race, and at night you all go to a bar and there's an air band competition. I don't ski, so really I just spend the whole time drinking, socializing and hanging out! Hand's down best experience!


Anyways, after I managed to head home on Thursday I got all my stuff in gear and realized I need to show you all something. Last week my nails snapped, it was super cold...I fell and I really murdered them, so really really sorry they look TERRIBLE!
I recently received Black Tie Optional (!!!!!!) from Jacqui at http://thescholarlynail.blogspot.com and her blogsale! AHHH! This polish means so much to me I couldn't wait to wear it!
This is just 2 amazing coats with Seche Vite on top! My only issue with it is I kind of miss the new OPI brush, but it wasn't that bad!
I will definitely need to re-swatch this polish when it's sunny one day, couldn't do it justice! Either way even without the duochrome showing up it's a BEAUTIFUL PURPLE!!!  AHHH I could ramble about this polish forever but onto a few quick pictures!

Anyways, I know these aren't the BEST pictures...but what do you think? Do I have the original version or the slightly less duochrome one? I think I might have the second version, but when I fell in love with this color it was already older (I saw it in a salon in late 2002, it came out in 2001)...what is your #1 lemming? This was mine and I'm SO HAPPY about it :) <3

Orly Blue Collar and A Sneak Peek!

Hi Lovelies and Happy Thursday! It's almost Friday for y'all and I'm sure you're looking forward to it! I'm sitting at home enjoying not being in class and it's definitely awesome.

Anyways, I wasn't having the best of mornings today, and I needed a little pick me up, since I felt kind of depressed. So, I was flipping through some blogs, and Canadian Nail Fanatic's really brightened my morning, so I figured I would try her technique of stamping, then dotting on top of the stamps!

I used Orly Blue Collar as a based, stamped in konad white using one of the new BM plates, and then dotted with Orly Frisky, Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow and Zoya Layla!

 I love how this turned out!

And...Look what just arrived at my house yesterday!!!

EEEEEE! My new Legend Polishes! AEngland Bridal Veil and Dragon!

I can't wait to wear these babies! Now I need some sun!

Multi Chrome Glitter Sponging!

Happy Wednesday my Wonderfuls! It's Hump Day to all of you working the regular week and the end of the week for meeee! Awesome!

Today's look is pretty simple, but it's so stunning, especially in the sunlight. I used China Glaze Liquid Leather as the base and sponged Ozotic Elytra 528 on the tips! LOVE. 

I tried to take photos of this for a tutorial but it didn't work out. But would anyone be interested in seeing a tutorial? Let me know in the comments!

Lilac and Silver

Hi Loves, Happy Tuesday! I love that this my hump day, since I'm leaving school tomorrow to go back home again! So awesome having random days cancelled!

It was winter-ish at my house over the weekend, it snowed a lot and it was all fluffy and white and so I was in the mood for something cool toned! I pulled China Glaze Light as Air out of my stash and stamped it with the fishnet & reverse fishnet pattern from the new BM plates!

I like how this looks in pictures better than I did in person, oh well! It got lots of compliments which is good, right?

BB Couture Playboy

Hi loves ! Happy Monday! How was everyone's weekend? Do anything fun? Mine wasn't super eventful, but I enjoyed my time at home, and this week I'm only at school until Wednesday and then I'll be home, so a long weekend for me which is nice!

So, as I mentioned on Saturday, I just had my 1 year Blogoversary which I can't actually believe! I'm amazed I made it to 1 year and can't wait to make it to 2!

Anyways, I was pouring through my stash this week to find something fun to wear, and I happened upon a BB Couture that I bought back in August during their "Buy 4, Get 1 Free" promo, and I realized I hadn't worn this baby. OMG LIZ..what's wrong with you?!

BB Couture Playboy is a peacock blue-green-teal polish with teal and silver shimmer, and it's a beauty! It's so aptly named, since if you know anything about the Playboy Mansion, you'll know they have peacocks everywhere, and this made me think of them. This colour is so gorgeous I couldn't stop staring! However, I feel like it might stain (haven't taken it off yet), so hedge your bets and wear a base coat, if not 2 layers!

 Om nom nom, look at that colour! This one is from the Eye Candy Collection, which is limited edition. It's still available at BB Couture, so snag this one while you can!

Metallic Mango!

Hi Friends! Happy Sunday!
Today I have a lovely polish sent to me by Kitty over at kittypolishandbags 
It's Metallic Mango by Milani! This polish is GORGEOUS! Just the right amount of spring to make me not hate the snow outside! It's 2 coats of mango and then I jazzed up the tips a bit with a nameless China Glaze that she also sent me! If you can name it let me know in the comments!

Happy Blogoversary To Me!

So, Happy Saturday Loves! Can you believe I almost forgot today was my blogoversary? Yikes, I'm terrible!

So I have no nails done for today, which means I'll have to think up something cool for monday to make up for it!

I can't believe I've been blogging for a year, time has flown by! I want to thank all my followers for making it so fun and hopefully the 2nd year flies by just as quickly!

Houndstooth!

Weeeeeee it's Friday all my crazy lovelies! This week has felt SO long, but thankfully next week is a short week for me, so that's the upside to going into this weekend!

So, I was sitting around in my room the other day, looking at the image plates I brought with me to school and it hit me, I have NEVER done a traditional black and white houndstooth manicure. So, obviously I had to remedy that situation!

I used 2 coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather and then stamped with Konad Special white polish! I'm sorry I only have one picture, but the lighting in my rented room at school is crap, and this is all that would work!

I'm actually obsessed with how these turned out! Eee my nails are so cute (at least I think, conceited Liz lol)!

All Time Fave

Hi Loves and Happy Wednesday! It's Hump Day! I have a long day today, but tonight I'm going skating on an outdoor rink with some classmates after our long day, so I'm looking forward to that!

So, some days I just want something simplistic, but not neutral. Those days I often have to hunt around in my stash, trying to find what "calls" to me. The other day, I was looking at all the bottles, and China Glaze Coconut Kiss was what I needed. It's such a deep, rich purple, it looks so pretty!

 So simple, but so pretty. Almost a palette cleanser, if you will ;)

Copper and Navy Blue

Hi loves! Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had good weekends and a good start to the week yesterday! I'm feeling good, I'm on the second week of a 4 week workout plan, and I'm enjoying it a lot!

Copper and Navy Blue is one of my favourite colour combinations, and the other day while wildly looking through my stash, these two polishes somehow were side-by-side (somehow) and they were calling me! The base is Revlon Copper Penny and the stamping is Zoya Ibiza, with a BM plate!

I love this feather pattern, I think it's so cool!

A Kardashian and a Flakie

Happy Happy Sunday Friends!
How's everyone's weekend? I have two lovely polishes to show you today! I hit up my local Real Canadian Superstore (where they sell Joe Fresh) to buy me some food for the week and I found a Kardashian display and snatched up Khloe had a little Lam Lam, as I LOVED it AND they had Essie Shine of the Times!!! Amazing! It's two coats of NOPI and 1 coat of Shine of the Times with my lovely Seche Vite on top!! I LOVE this manicure, so easy, so fun and so PRETTY! Obsessed with flakies!

Neon Pink is January Appropriate..Right?

Weeeeeee! Hi everyone! Guess what?! It's FRIDAY...anyone gettin' down on friday? (SORRY..earworm time now!) I'm clearly very excited that it's the weekend, although I don't really have any plans!

So, after my "seasonally appropriate" manicure yesterday, I figured I'd follow it up with an amazingly inappropriate one! I was craving some neon, and whenever I am, I always pull out china glaze shocking pink! Then stamped it with wet n wild black creme and a konad plate! I love this, and a lot of boys commented on this manicure, amazingly enough! Also, I am pretty pumped, the first 2 photos are pretty colour accurate..the last one is a bit washed out, but 2/3 isn't bad!

Introducing my new nubbins!

Hi loves and Happy Thursday! Can't believe this week has flown by so quickly already, that's a good thing for me! I'm trying to be calm, but next week I have a ton of things due so I know this weekend will be a busy one!

Anyways, so last week, we had a SUPER freezing day, and over Christmas the weather was quite cold, which dried out my skin and my nails. They became so brittle and flaky that I kept having to file them down or buff out peels and it was annoying, so I chopped them all off and figured I'd try to get them to grow out nicely again!And, adding to this list, I ran out of Acetone, so I ran to my local Sally's to find that all they had left was Non-Acetone remover..which I figured might not be too bad, since winter really dries out my skin. 

So, new nubbins! I wanted something rather seasonally appropriate, so I hunted around in my stash and pulled out Dr. Remedy's Lively Lavender, which is actually rather grey-ed out and not so lavender, and then stamped it with the zig-zag image from the new BM plates using my konad white!

I was loving this look and got a lot of compliments on it! This colour is one of my favourite purples, and I love how this stamp looks!

An oldie I forgot about

Hi lovelies and Happy Wednesday! How is everyone? I'm feeling a teensy bit stressed because school has dropped a ton of assignments on us, plus resume feedback workshops, interview workshops, mandatory professional development days, etc..oh dear.

So, this manicure is one that I cooked up over the christmas holidays, but I never got around to posting. Also, as a side note, how gross were my cuticles? So much dry skin, I clearly was not paying attention, sorry guys! Anyways, this is Sally Hansen Whirlwind white with Sally Hansen Gold Chrome as the stamping polish.

 This wasn't my favourite manicure, but it turned out better than I thought.

And I'm Back! I promise!

Hi loves! Sorry for the erratic posting lately. How is everyone? I've missed you all! Yesterday I started this 30 day workout program from this website, called BodyRock.tv and O..M..G.. I am dying! Like it is SO hard, which makes me feel a little sad, and pretty out of shape! Hopefully by the end I'll be much better!

Anyways, today's nails are actually from about a week ago? I know..so delayed! I kinda pumped them out in a hurry because I was supposed to be packing for school! It use 1 coat of OPI Russian Navy Suede and Sally Hansen Silver sweep as the stamping colour!

(also BOO..my topcoat smeared my design a bit!)

Technical Difficulties

Hi loves, sorry I have been absent for the past few days!

Last week blogger would not let me post anything and then, this past weekend, I went home, but left my computer at school...and none of the computers at my house will accept my memory card! UGH!

So, anyways, things will get back to normal tomorrow, I think I should be able to go back to posting every day!

Bundle Monster Fun

Hello friends! Happy Sunday!
Starting off this New Year I decided I wanted to play around with my plates more. I know I don't do nail art too often so this week I have two manicures to show you!
The first one is done with MAC Vintage Vamp, using BM plate 19 with China Glaze's Awaken.

So cute! Don't hate on my cuticles -- New Year's Eve at work was super hard on my hands :(

I really loved this color combo :)

The second manicure that I did was again over top of China Glaze's Awaken (gotta love this color!) with Whirlwind White to stamp over top using our all time favourite leopard print on the MASH plate number 3!

I love this plate so much!

I did this during a break at school--way more important than homework

It's Thursday (Aka Almost Friday and Time for the weekend)

Well my loves, it's already Thursday which makes me really happy for a number of reasons! 1) being that I get to go home tomorrow and 2) is that tonight SO MANY tv shows are back on, which is pumping me up! Mainly I'm excited for TVD, Grey's, and Secret Circle..oh and a little show I like to call Jersey Shore? YEAHHH it's Jersday baby!

Anways, after the festiveness of Merry Midnight, I didn't feel like wearing polish for a few days, because I was sad and did not care, so bare nails were happening..but after a while that got old, so once again I pulled out an old standby, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. It's pretty much my go to colour, and on this occasion it was perfect, since I wanted something dark, to match my mood!

Looking at these pictures makes me drool! Now I just need to find a bottle of Lincoln Park After Dark Matte and I'd be a happy camper!

Back to the Grind

Good morning loves, and Happy Wednesday! Here we are, 4 days into 2012, and I figured it was time to get back to blogging. I really appreciate all your comments & condolences towards me and my family. I miss my dog a ton, and I'm really feeling for my mom, since this week she is home alone, without our dog, and without me. It's hard but it will get better.

Anyways, I'm back at school, although this next block of classes (6 weeks) will hopefully go by fast, since I'm going home every weekend! 

Alright, so back tracking a bit, I'm going to show you what I wore over the holidays, this polish stayed on my tips for about 4 or 5 days, and it's definitely season appropriate, or at least I think so!

OPI Merry Midnight, I've shown you this before but I literally can't get enough of it!

So pretty! I still can't believe I own this polish! YUM!

Some sadness to ring in 2012

Good morning loves and Happy 2012.

Sadly, I have some sad news for you all. As I mentioned, my dog was sick, and we had to put her down yesterday morning. I loved Abbie, and we got her as a puppy about 8 months after we moved into my current house, so there is a huge void for all of us now.

I'll be back to posting shortly, but for now, I'm not up to it.
