Halloween Nails

Happy Halloween loves! I hope you all have fun plans for this evening, and that all of you in the aftermath of Hurrican Sandy are safe & well. We're just getting bits of the storm here in Ontario, although tonight is supposed to be miserable. I've planned to have a nice fire, and watch both the Addam's Family movies (with Christina Ricci) and Hocus Pocus, aka the best Halloween movies.

My nails are a bit of a two for one today. I used a variety of bundle monster images to stamp with. The first nail is a gradient of Sephora for OPI Caliente Coral and Cult Nails Nevermore and stamped with Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. The second set is N.Y.C. Concrete Gray, with OPI Pirouette My Whistle on top, dotted with Caliente Coral and Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow for colour and stamped with Nevermore.

Mini Haul & Some Makeup

Hey lovelies! How was your weekend? I didn't do tons, I ended up going Rock-n-Bowl (Halloween themed) on Saturday & then went to a Halloween Party and played Champagne roulette, aka a mini roulette wheel with numbered shotglasses, and a select number had champagne, some had champagne mixed with rum/tequila/vodka, and some just had gross shots..including tequila & carrot shots (don't ask, I didn't make it).

So, this is a little behind but I have been hauling somewhat and actually most of it has been makeup. Here are some goodies I've gotten recently.

You've already seen OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest, and then I ordered Enchanted Polish Vampire's Dessert, and Disco Barbie, and then FINALLY, after MONTHS of waiting, my beautiful Jade Holos. <33333

and then, this is a little off topic, but I also beautiful palette from TheBalm, the Shady Lady Vol.2. Would anyone want to see this polish swatched?

Hope you have a wonderful Monday, and all you on the East Coast, I hope you're staying safe in this Hurricane-like weather.

Sunday Stamping with OPI

Happy Sunday, lovely readers!

How was your weekend? Full of Halloween parties maybe?

I worked, BUT on Wednesday I'm going to a Halloween party and I'm super excited!

Today I have 2 different manicures for you! I originally had planned to post about my sweet score in finding the coveted Mad As A Hatter, BUT Elizabeth posted already on that this week, so I'll just throw some pictures in for good measure ;) Her's are better, the iphone clearly does not capture it's gloriousness, and we only had one day of sun this week so, still not the best.

The second manicure I have to show you is OPI's Black Tie Optional (I always type Black Tie Affair...dunno why) stamped with my go to gold, Borghese Lira, using my new stamping plates! Yes, I cracked and got the Bundle Monster 300 series, and a few select plates of the 200. My original Bundle Monster plates left me a teensy bit disappointed, as I didn't find as much use for them, but I've had these plates for 2 days and already stamped 3 different looks!!

I used 2 coats of BTO, and stamped with BM 323 using Lira, topping it off with seche vite!

Love this print!
BTO, such a beautiful purple

Not the  best shot but oh so sparkly

I thought this blurred shot showed all the glitters the best. LOOK AT THAT BOTTLE! LOVE

Alright, aside from my weak MAAH shots (thank goodness Elizabeth did it justice in her post) I think my stamping has greatly improved! I am officially obsessed. It's been awhile since I've changed my nails so often! Now I just need to get my bottle of Absolutely Alice from Marta and I'll have another awesome lemming to show you guys! <3

OPI Mad As A Hatter

Hi! It's Saturday and although it's super gross out right now (raining/attempting to turn into snow!) I am having a pretty good day! Today I'm going shopping and tomorrow I am going to a 65 person Baby Shower! Is that not a huge baby shower? Especially a 'before' baby shower? I hope it's fun!

Anyways, if you read my title you are probably like, "why all the talking Liz? Just show me the dang pictures!" So I will. Marta found a kijiji seller in her area who had SO many OPI polishes and Katy and I hustled on over & were able to snag our own bottles of MAAH. In these photos I put it over China Glaze Grape Pop because, well, I'm scared to wear it on it's own. I need to treasure this baby! Anyways, this is a bit photo-heavy, so most pictures will be after the jump!

OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest

Happy Tuesday loves! I hope you all had wonderful weekends and we're closer towards the next one! I had a nice weekend with my boyfriend, except sadly I left my night guard at his house..and he lives 3 & 1/2 hours he had to mail it to me. Thank goodness I left it at his house instead of losing it. I'd definitely be annoyed if I lost it.

Anyhow, I'm feeling a little uninspired in my posting these days. I got OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest from my love Kirsten awhile ago, because I could not find it ANYWHERE around me. I hastily stamped over it for my Thanksgiving dinner, and even though it was a bit sloppy to me, it got tons of compliments! I'll have to wear this one again for sure!

Sorry this was so short!

Color Club Dots!

Happy Sunday lovely readers!!
What did you get up to this weekend? Anything interesting? I haven't done much yet but today is going to be a full day of errands!!

My manicure today, which I painted the blue on friday, dots on saturday, and has lasted looking virtually new still today, is an unnamed color club navy blue, so dark it almost looks black. If anyone can name it for me, let me know! Then I dotted it with Borghese Lira and Revlon Smoldering. All with Cult Nails Top coat

Onto the photos. No sunlight this week so, I had to make do with the OTT lamp.

So much darker than the bottle. Barely 2 coats

Some of the gold dragged in the TC :(

loving the dots!

Well there you have it, my weekend manicure, still going strong, I don't want to remove it yet...but just wait I will have a new set of Bundle Monster plates from by early next week! YAY!!!! Can't wait for the snakeskin plate! :)

Zoya Leopard Print

It's FRIDAAAAAAAAAAY. Who watched TVD last night? All of you? Ok gooooood haha! I spent the whole time freaking out and drinking wine. A good way to spend a Thursday I feel!

So, to celebrate Friday, I have a festive leopard print, featuring one of the Zoya polishes I picked up in the Ontario bloggers swap! Zoya Jules has been on my wishlist. It`s a sparkling, semi-glassfleck light taupe, that does give me slight lobster hands but oh well. I stamped it with BM 221, then dotted with Zoya Layla!

Also can I say, the Zoya Anchor base is an ANCHOR. I took these photos 3 days after I did my nails, and during that time I taught kids, typed up resumes, did chores, cleaned a bathroom & served at a dinner. And they looked like THIS. amazeballs. It seems expensive for a base coat, but seriously, it is stellar.

Anyways, Happy Friday & enjoy <3

Breast Cancer Pink Wednesday

Hello Pink Wednesday Lovers!!

Yes, today, I am writing this post, and not Elizabeth. I believe I dream posted on Sunday...
ANYWAYS!! I have two lovely manicures for you this week. I had meant to post a pink manicure for Breast Cancer, as this is October, but I think it now coincides much better with a Pink Wednesday Post!

The first manicure is NYC Greenwich Village, 1 coat, and I topped it with NCLA West Hollywood It-Girl. I did two coats of this...loving this glitter...I have a feeling it would never be fully opaque but you could try!!
All topped with Cult Nails Wicked Fast

A little blurry, but the glitter is so pretty :)

no sunlight sadly :(

And for my second manicure, I used Essie A Crewed Interest, 2 coats, then sponged on Essie As Cute as a Button, and again NYC Greenwich Village, topping it off with a no name Icing cover my shoddy gradient. Again topped off with Cult Nails Wicked Fast

Tried to use my OTT light to make it brighter

So! What does everyone think of my Pink Wednesday post? I know my gradient is a little too subtle...and I really suck at sponging...but I still loved the look!

Orange Gradient

Hola loves! Happy Monday. I had a pretty relaxing weekend, I hope you all did too. I went and saw Pitch Perfect on Saturday, it was actually a lot funnier than I expected. I laughed a lot. If you haven't seen it, I definitely suggest you do! Then Sunday I wasted my day watching Gilmore Girls, Season 2 to be exact.

So, I've seen all the fall manicures and colours floating around the internet, and so I figured I'd try something out, to join in on the fun. I always think that I want to try an orange coloured manicure..except that I own approximately 3 oranges..and only 1 is not a neon or a jelly. So, this gradient, is really not a gradient. I used China Glaze Sunworshipper, then sponged on Sephora by OPI Caliente Coral, and topped it with Nicole by OPI Freshly Squeezed. It's not really gradient-y...but I think it's still pretty?

What do you think? I should have stamped over this with some Halloween stamps...probably would have been more appropriate.

OPI Tease-y Does It & OPI Movin' Out: Layering Perfection

Hi my loves! It's Thursday, which is awesome! I love 4 day weeks, although I don't love that I am not working too much this week, but still! Also, did you know that TODAY THE VAMPIRE DIARIES is back on TV?! If you didn't, well you clearly don't follow me on twitter, since I've been fangirling like for months, but yeah. That is where I will be tonight, and if you want some enjoyment in listening to my incessant obsession, hop on twitter tomorrow night.

Anyways, this layering combination I have to show you today BLEW my mind, but really it blew my mind because my camera could capture it. It's OPI Tease-y Does It, followed by OPI Movin' Out..and yeah...I'll just show you pictures..

Look at that green flash! It only showed up sometimes, and at certain angles, but it's so beautiful!

If you have these 2 polishes, you MUST try them together, you will not regret it, I promise!

Thanksgiving Manicure

Happy Sunday everyone! Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians!

**EDIT** Unfortunately we had to remove the blogroll again as the malware warnings popped up again :(

Sorry this is a bit late but I had no other time to write it! I'm at home today with my family and will be going to my grandmother's to enjoy some turkey dinner later! Yum!

I have a quick post for you this week! I used OPI's Royal Rajah Ruby, and then did a saran wrap sponging of China Glaze Riveting, Harvest Moon and Borghese Lira for a fall-like color scheme. The saran wrap didn't work as I had planned but I still enjoyed it :)
I don't have the best pictures as my iphone really doesn't work unless there is sunlight :(

All three colors really show through in this picture! Enjoy your weekend (and for those of us, enjoy your long weekend) <3

Saturday Spam

Hola lovers! Happy Saturday! This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving & I am looking forward to it! My boyfriend is home for the weekend, & now a surprising number of extended family has committed to dinner on Sunday, so I can't wait. I love big family get togethers and this one is no different!

Today I have a little bit of mini spam for you! I've gotten some colours but often I wear them with stamping design over them, so I figured I'd swatch a some so you can see how gorgeous they are on their own!

This is Sinful Colours Dream On. See how vibrant it is? This is why I picked it for my guest post for Cris ;)
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Love this beauty, it's so soft and definitely the touch of grey makes it a nice white, not like a "I painted my nails with white-out" kind of white!
OPI Mod About You, love this pink, I'm sure you'll be seeing it used lots soon!
Orly Bon Bon, a little sheer but nice & jelly like.
China Glaze Wagon Trail...mmm..I have been wanting this forever! Look at that gold shimmer in that beauty!
Barry M Raspberry, so beautiful, so creamy, this was 2 coats, probably could be a 1 coater if I had been more careful!

Well I hope you enjoyed this mini-spam! If you want to see any of these colours in a design, let me know! I just got my new set of Bundle Monster plates to I'm itching to try them out!

Thanks for reading loves <3
