Inspired by Marta Round 2

Hello my lovelies & Happy Friday! It's the long weekend here in Canada and I am officially on vacation AND on the beach. I can't think of a better way to spend my vacation time. I am staying with my boyfriend until Tuesday, he moved away from me (sad) to a little town about 3 & 1/2 hours North West of me which sucks BUT he is on Lake Huron, on the beach, sooo the summertime makes up for it!

Anyways, as always Marta is such an inspiration to me, I'm jealous that Katy hangs out with her regularly, her and I have yet to meet although I hope to change that next time I go to London! I saw this post and I knew I just had to try it. Now this is also a special post will get to see my right hand! I did the accent nails different so I figured I'd try to show off both hands. So, sorry in advance for some awkward posing! I used Misa Dirty Sexy Money, Cult Nails Cruisin' Nude, Konad M57 and China Glaze Liquid Leather!

Hey awkward right hand, how you doin?
And, what is a Marta-inspired post without some Marta-style posing, with props! I had a leopard print scard so I snagged it!

I am definitely jealous that Marta's husband Peter is such an awesome photographer, because's hard to pose alone!

Anyways what do you lovelies think? I love the different accent nails and I got so many compliments!

Thanks for reading loves <3 & don't forget to check out Marta's blog, ChitChat Nails or follow her on twitter!

Nicole by OPI Great Minds Pink Alike!

Hi lovelies! Happy Wednesday! How is everyone? I was sick the past two days, so sadly I missed out on 2 days of work but now I'm back to the grind..until tomorrow, which is my last shift for 2 weeks then vacation woo! PS YAY Pink Wednesday Post <3

So this NOPI is one of the other polishes that my boyfriends brother & sister-in-law bought for me for a graduation present. Great Minds Pink Alike is a beautiful pink with some gold and almost blue shimmer? The blue shimmer is sort of reminiscent of Butter London Disco Biscuit. My camera sucked at capturing the blue shimmer and made it seem like a lot more VNL is apparent but I swear it's not.

Ps sigh, I miss my longer nails. They are definitely a lot shorter these days as I was trying to combat some breakage.

Turquoise Gradient

Happy Monday & Hi Loves! Sorry I've been a bit MIA. I kind of lost track of time last week, I kept having so many things to do after work and then before I knew it, it was time for bed, since I get up early I go to bed early :( Anyways, I'm back on track I hope, especially because I only have to work 4 days this week, then I have TWO whole weeks off. Weee! On a sad note, I had to remove my blogroll for a bit, since it seemed I was getting a malware warning :(

Ok, so I've got another lovely gradient for you, this is NOPI My Lifesaver, sponged with China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise, then stamped with Wet n Wild Black Creme and BM plate 11

I loved this even though the BM image didn't stamp 100% cleanly.

What do you think?

Nicole by OPI Purple Yourself Together

Hihi everyone! Happy Hump Day? How is everyone? I'm tired, going to be working 6 days this week, ugh, but the light at the end of the tunnel is I get 2 weeks off starting at 2:30 on the 28th!

So, my boyfriend's brother & sister-in-law (aka his sister-in-law) bought me some polishes & make up as a graduation gift and this bad boy is one of them. It's SO pretty, I love this colour because I have nothing like it. The gold shimmer is really amazing, and even though it looks like you can see VNL in one of the photos, you really can't in real life. I swear.

Yeah this polish is so beautiful! I did not want to take it off. I'll definitely be stamping over it again sometime soon!

Oh Monday

Hi loves! Happy Monday! How is everyone today? I'm probably tired whenever you are reading this because I'm back on the day shift aka working from 6:30am-2:30pm *sigh*! This past week my nails have suffered a lot of peeling & damage because I switched where I was working and I have to use my hands a lot more, so I might start posting every other day for the next bit to stretch out my old NOTDs and give my nails some recuperation time!

This manicure is what I actually wore to my convocation, I wasn't really loving anything in my stash so I kind of threw this together in a hurry. It's pretty but at the time, not what I wanted. I used China Glaze Coconut Kiss as the base and stamped with Sally Hansen Whirlwind White and BM plate 201

Oh well! In other news, I recently became obsessed with Instagram, you can follow me over there @elizabethmegan3! I love it so much ahha

Convocation Manicure

Hello lovely readers!
Sorry that I took an impromptu hiatus from blogging last week. I've had some recent life change ups and I a) didn't really have anything post worthy going on b) didn't feel like it c) couldn't find my old camera!

Anyways I promise this week's post will make up for it!
Last year when I moved to London, I met a fellow blogger, Marta, from Chit Chat Nails who has continued to inspire me and fuel my addiction for nails!
Well last year she did my convocation manicure, so I enlisted her for this year's!! For this look we decided against a neon gradient, with an accent nail (of course!! Marta is LEGENDARY at stamping!)

I used my newly purchased Misa "Bikini with a Martini". Oh MAN! My first ever neon, and I am IN LOVE. It's 2 coats over a coat of white. I would probably use 3 coats for full coverage. Next Marta used a sinful colors of which the name escapes me this moment, but it's a purple neon! Bragging rights to whoever can identify it!  Lastly Marta used a hibiscus flower design from the MASH plates to stamp with Wet'n'Wild Black Creme and some jewels for accents!!
Okay! Now that I've wasted alllllllll this time talking, time for FAR too many photos!! They're not the best quality or most color's much more vivid in person, my camera makes the purple look pink and the red look orange...but that's my camera, it was never the best

My mom thought the polish was air brushed

Most color accurate, but still very off

Trying a Deborah pose ;)

I can't bear for them to chip!!
I hope everyone has a great Father's day, and thanks again Marta for the amazing manicure and catch up session! <3

Marta Inspired

Happy Thursday loves! Sorry I haven't posted much, I have been a little lazy in terms of watermarking and posting, whoops! Sorry! Working afternoons makes me lazy!  Anyways, before I get to the post today I wanna give a little shout out to my love Kirsten from GlittaGloves and my amazing sister, Katy ! Both of them are graduating today, Kirsten from her Bachelor's and Katy with her graduate certificate in Human Resources! I love you both! <3

So, my manicure today is inspired by one that Marta from Chit Chat nails did the other day! I loved how it looked. She used MASH plates while I used my Bundle Monster ones, but I love it nonetheless! I used China Glaze Pool Party, Sally Hansen Whirlwind White and China Glaze Liquid Leather and BM 20.

My camera refused to capture Pool Party properly, hence it looks like it's glowing lol! On my right hand, my index and pinky were stamped, just to mix it up!

So what do you lovelies think? Did I do justice to Marta's amazing nails? If you don't follow her already, I suggest taking a peek at ChitChat Nails or hopping on over to her Twitter, she is such a lovely person!

More Gradients!

Hi loves! Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I totally forgot I didn't have anything lined up AND..yesterday I graduated! It's official! I'm a teacher now :) It's a very exciting time in my life!

Anyways, so now that I'm able to jump on this gradient trend, you know I'll never stop lol! This one is a base of China Glaze Light As Air and Sally Hansen Blue Away. Ps ignore my dirty has been hard on my hands :(

Not the best, but it looked prettier in person, I think!

Pink Cheetah

Happy Hump Day! And Happy Pink Wednesday my dears! Wow, I can't believe how long it's been since I've typed these words! I am so sad that I sort of dropped off Pink Wednesdays, because you all know how much I love pink!

So, I pulled out Essie Watermelon out of my stash the other day, and I was staring at it longingly trying to come up with some way to use it. The result was this pretty fun design (if I do say so myself!) I used BM plate 221, China Glaze Liquid Leather to stamp with, then dotted with Orly Blue Collar, Frolic, Sally Hansen Green with Envy and Mellow Yellow!

I love this! I got so many compliments on this and I never wanted to take it off!

Thanks for reading & hopefully you're wearing pink! <3

Silver and Gray

It's Tuesday! How is everyone today? This week & next I'm on afternoons, which means I work 2:30pm-10:30pm, I sort of like the change, even though 6:30am-2:30pm doesn't kill me, I'm glad I don't have to work it every week!

I was sort of in a blah mood the other day because the weather was so gross, so my manicure sort of matched my attitude. I put on 2 coats of Revlon Stormy, then stamped with Sally Hansen Silver Sweep and BM201. I think this is one of my favourite patterns out of this BM set!

I'm hoping that this manicure lets me snap out of my blah mood! At least it's pretty!

Let's Go Blue Jays

Hi loves, Happy Monday! I hope every ones weekends were nice, mine was ok, but the weather was terrible, cold, rainy & gray alll weekend! Thankfully sunday night I pvr'd and watched a TON of trashy tv, which is my guilty pleasure!

So, as Katy already said, yesterday we went to the Jay's game and I decided that I was going to do a gradient manicure if that was the last thing I did. If you follow me on twitter, you know how I have complained about not being able to do one, but this time, I think, I was successful. I used OPI Dating a Royal and Sally Hansen Whirlwind White, aka Blue Jay's colours!

So what do you think of the gradient, did it work out?

Blue Jays Blue Nails!

Hey everyone...what is it with me and blue nails lately?

Today I headed home and went to a Blue Jays game with some friends, so I decided to have somewhat themed polish.
I used Revlon Royal, then stamped Joe Fresh Wave and Sally Hansen Whirlwind White on top. It's not the best gradient but I really loved it!
Then I added a dash of flakies in the form of Essie Shine of the Times, and a CN Tower stamp to my ring finger!
Here it is! (Sadly there was no sunshine so the photos aren't in the best light)

mmm flakie goodness

so you can see the CN Tower right side up
Well there you have it! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! What do you think of my first ever gradient?

Royal Flakies

Weeee it's Friday lovelies! Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday, I napped from like 4:30-8 on Wednesday, then I go to bed at 9pm because I get up at 5am and I need sleep LOL. Anyways, I am looking forward to this weekend, putting a week of work behind me and enjoying sleeping in :)

So I was looking longingly at my bottle of Nfu Oh 51 the other day and I wanted to wear it but I didn't know how..then it hit me...duh, Revlon Royal!!! I missed that bad boy! This is 2 coats of Royal & 1 of 51! I love it...<3

It just glows, doesn't it? It's so beautiful, I loved this combo but it chipped so badly during my first few days at work :(

Anyways, thanks for reading lovelies and have an awesome Friday :) <3
