Aanndd I'm Back!

Hi loves! Happy Monday! I'm so sorry I was gone for so long. I meant to post more last week..and then it just didn't happen. I had no reasons, I just didn't! I had an eventful week last week, which was great, I actually had 2 interviews for maternity leave positions at schools in my area. I didn't get either jobs, because they were technically already given to another person, but being able to have interviews and practice was awesome!

So, when I was at the dollar store one day, I found some scrapbooking scissors, 4 pairs for $1.25 aka awesome, so I wanted to use them asap! I grabbed a pair, used China Glaze Liquid Leather and OPI DS Sapphire. I don't think it turned out exactly like I wanted to, but I love DS Sapphire over black. *drool*

I'll have to play with some other scissors and patterns, but can you look at the bottle in those photos?'s amazing!

Thanks for reading loves and I promise to try to be more consistent! <3

Random Nails Sunday!

Hi Everyone!
Sorry that I was absent last Sunday, I was in a post exam crazy mood, topped off with a staff party and forgot 10000% to post, and by the time I remembered it was Monday. Craziness!
Anyways! I have completed my exams, finished my final presentation, and as you are reading this, finished my final shift at my job and am leaving London. It's a really bittersweet day for me, moving in with Chris but away from amazing individuals. :( yep, I'm sadddd.

Okay, now to get me out of my funk here are some random left over nails from the past while. I have Harvest Moon from the Hunger games collection, and a teeny bit of nail art on my sad broken nubs, using Cult Nails Quench and China Glaze Awaken.

so prettyyy

miss my longer nails

my ring finger smudged :(

just playing around with dots
And so there you have it. Hopefully once I have no job I will have a LOT of time on my hands to paint my nails ;) I'll even have my own office! So fancy! <3

Barry M Crackle Effects Gold Glitter

Good Morning loves! How is everyone? I feel super jet-lagged it's ridiculous. Last week I did not sleep well all week (read: very little sleep) and same with the weekend, so last night I tried to go to bed at a regular hour and get like 12 hours..but I still feel all messed up!

One of my friends in Teacher's College was able to go to London, England to teach/experience a school there for three weeks & she knows how much I love nail polish so she brought me back some Barry M, one of their crackle effects. I haven't played with my crackles in a while, mainly because they're all cremes and I just haven't thought of them, but this one has reminded me why they are so cool! Gold Glitter is so pretty! Just look at these pictures! I used it over Orly Blue Collar! Also ignore how red my hands are, I don't know why my camera did that too them (and how dry they are.. :( sorry)

What do you guys think? I love how this looks, I can't wait to try it over other colours! Thanks Shaina! <3

OPI Dating a Royal

Hi loves and Happy Saturday! How's everyone doing? I'm fantastic because...I am done. Done school. Forever...until I get a job and then I get to teach children instead of having to learn. Yay! It feels awesome. So I'm spending the weekend visiting my boyfriend, who recently moved about 4 hours north west of where I live, yikes.

Anyways, I was on twitter and OPI tweeted something about how they love the colour "Dating A Royal" and I just thought, wow I love that colour too, why don't I wear it I did! I used 3 coats of OPI Dating A Royal and then some nailene nail art stickers for an accent nail. However, something was wrong with my topcoat and it bubbled and wouldn't dry, so sadly these lasted about 15 minutes after I took pictures :(

I love this colour blue. It's so beautiful, I don't know why I don't wear it more often. And it doesn't stain! Bonus!

Thanks for reading lovelies! <3

Purple Waves

Happy Wednesday my loves! Currently I am writing this sitting in my school's library pretending to do work..I have ZERO motivation left and still 3 more days of school, *sigh* but by the time you read this on Wednesday (aka now) I am done 2 presentations and just have 1 test left, so almost in the clear!

As I have mentioned before I really loved the colours in the ASK Cosmetics samples I tried, and Oh So Aubergine was one of  the favourites! I used Oh So Aubergine (1 COAT!) and stamped it with bundle monster plate BM 209 and konad special white! Can I just tell you that I have the princess sized version of this polish and I've had it for over a year now and it's still going, and I use this colour ALL THE TIME. Seriously, if there is one konad polish I'd recommend you getting, it would be the white in the princess size! Anyways, picture time, yes?

I love this pattern and this colour, don't be surprised if you see this image plate being used quite frequently, it might be my new leopard print!

What do you guys think?

Thanks for reading & have a great day <3

Classic Peacock

Hi loves & Happy Monday :) This is my last week of school, YAY I can't wait to be done. I will literally be jumping for joy on Friday, I can tell you that. I think this week, because I have so many small things to wrap up, that I'll only be posting every couple of days. Hope that's alright!

I was searching through my plate stash and I happened upon BM 20 and I remembered how much I loved the stamp with arrows and stars, so I used it over a base of Ask Cosmetics Classic Peacock, and stamped with Konad special white.

I really love this look. I think it's so cute!

Dr. Remedy's Nails Nuture Nude Pink

Hi Everyone!
How's your week been? I went and got my car which is super exciting! It still doesn't feel real, feels like a rental! It's also exam week, so...that's not so fun!

Anyways I have a short post for you, a palate cleanser if you will! I've been wearing a lot of light girly shades lately and I really liked this one!
Elizabeth already showed you Nuture Nude Pink by Dr. Remedy but now I've inherited the bottle!
I really like this shade. Easy 3 coats and a top coat of Seche Vite!

Some late afternoon sun

In the shade

With flash, more true to IRL
This color really shows that Elizabeth and I have slightly different skin tones because I think it looks a little bit better on me than her. Probably because I'm more ghostly than her. Anyways that's all I've got for today! 5 exams in 4 days starting tomorrow so I'll be hibernating!!

China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise

Morning Loves :) Happy Saturday. I'm heading into my final week in teacher's college and I'm sorry I've been absent lately. I've been kind of bleh about blogging these days and so I've been wearing lots of pretty things, but when it comes around to taking pictures I'm

Anyways, the other day I struggled to make my camera take pictures of China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise..and it refused. In these pictures it looks sort of a light blue turquoise, but really it is a lot more green. But forgive my camera, because it also gives me insane lobster hands. Yikes.

So simple and easy, I love this look. Leopard spots seem to be my go-to these days.

NOPI Kendall on the Katwalk

Hi loves! Happy Wednesday! It's hump day slash my 2nd out of 3 days of school this week! I love the slacker life! The only downside to today is that I have 3 projects due, and a small presentation, oh and 8 hours of school. But that's ok!

So, my lovely sister Katy tracked down the Nicole by OPI Kardashian polish Kendall on the Katwalk, aka an amazing glitter bomb. Kendall on the Katwalk is blue, turquoise and purple glitter in a transparent blue base. I found that this polish flowed like butter. It only took 2 coats for me to get full coverage and it was so amazing. I love it.

What do you think? I know some people have issues with the Kardashian themed polishes, but I love them. Personally, I watch all the Kardashian reality shows...what can I say, guilty pleasure!

A-England Bridal Veil

Hi loves! Happy Tuesday! Did everyone have a good weekend & visit with the Easter Bunny? I am back to Kingston today, but just until Thursday, because I don't like school on Fridays! I'm such a bad student LOL!

I know I have shown off A-England Bridal Veil before but it was on such short nubbin-y nails and I feel that they need to be on long nails!

Nom nom nom, Black scattered holo polish. This is literally one of my FAVOURITE polishes in my collection!

Layla Mermaid Spell

Happy Easter everyone!
I'm back at home for some family time but I just have a quick post to show you!
I've been drooling over these for months so I finally purchased a Layla holographic polish Mermaid Spell, from Katie at Harlow & Co. Thanks Marta for making this happen! This was 4-5 VERY thin coats, no top coat. I have to say it was a bit tricky, sometimes the polish would come off my nail making giant lumpy bald spots, even when I thought the nail was dry but after some practice and patience I made it work!

I have far too many pictures but it's just so pretty!!
ignore the fluff on the fingers

super distracting while driving

My new (used) car I just bought!
And there you have it friends! Hope you had a great weekend with family! <3

Easter Dots Revamped

Hi loves and Happy Easter! Hope the Easter Bunny visited you all and if you go to church you enjoyed the services (and finishing Lent)!

So, I took Saturday's manicure and added a little something since I didn't have too much time to do my nails before going out to meet the family. I took the coordinating colours and taped off my nails diagonally, and painted them in the coordinating colours!

Yay! Love it, sorry it's so boring but I think it's appropriate :)

Thanks for reading and happy easter! <3

Easter Dots

Happy Saturday World! What is everyone doing this weekend? Any fun Easter plans? My boyfriend is coming home this weekend to hang out for Easter and we're going to my grandmother's for Easter dinner on Sunday :)

I wanted an easter-ish design, so I used Sally Hansen White On, then dotted with Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow, Green with Envy, Blue Away and Pink Franken I own :)

It's kind of traditional, but I think it's cute and spring-like :)

Manicure Refresh

Hi & Happy Friday loves! Happy Good Friday to all of you celebrating easter (yay Lent is almost over, even though I didn't give anything up this year! Bad Liz).

So today's manicure might look a little familiar...and that's because it's yesterday's manicure! I was staring at it forever, and I loved it.. but I thought to myself, "this would look wayyyy better with some french tips liz.." and voila, a second manicure is born! I used OPI Lincoln Park After Dark (Again, I know!) on the tips!

I love how this looks even more! I received so many compliments on this manicure. It's GORGEOUS.

Thanks for reading & have a happy friday :) <3

Purple Flowers

Hi loves! It's Thursday but really it's my friday! Tomorrow is a holiday (Good Friday) and today is my last day teaching practicum. I'm pretty sad! I made them brownies though, I'm such a nice teacher hah!

I was going through all my "spring-y" colours and realized I hadn't used China Glaze Tantalize Me in a while, so I pulled that beauty out of my stash & then used Konad plate M64 and OPI Lincoln Park After Dark to stamp over it! So pretty :)

I love how well OPI Lincoln Park After Dark stamps! I definitely am going to be using it more to stamp with (can't you tell I love that colour!)

Blue and Gold Konad

Happy Tuesday! Everyone's week going ok? Mine's not bad BUT I have so much homework that I have been putting off since I went on Practicum in February and I have to go back to school on the 10th, which means I need to do it now! Yikes.

I was really feeling the flower image on BM plate 205, so I started to hunt around in my stash for colours to use with that plate and I came up with Sally Hansen Blue It and Revlon Gold Coin. I really love using Gold Coin to stamp with because it's so shimmery, it often is much subtler than a regular gold metallic. I think these nails look like some kind of cool wrapping paper!

What do you think?

Neon Funky French

Hi loves! Happy Monday! I can't believe Easter is this weekend! This year has flown by. This is my last week of Practicum, then I have 3 weeks of school and it's over. Insane!

Anyways, a while back, I saw this funky french on Chloe's Nails blog and I KNEW I had to try it out. It has always eluded me, because my nails were never even lengths to do a french manicure. I used Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze, Nina Ultra Pro Neon Yellow, China Glaze Shocking Pink, China Glaze Japanese Koi and China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise, and then China Glaze Liquid Leather. Please ignore the dirty cut on my thumb, I just wanted to show off Turned up Turquoise!

I'm loving this, even though I know it's a little messy and not 100% even, I actually wasn't bothered by that!
