Ringing In 2013

Happy Monday & Happy last day of 2012! I am going to be heading up to where my boyfriend lives and so it will be relatively quiet. We might go out to the local bar, but we're not sure.

Since I'm wearing black/white/gold, I wanted a manicure to match, but I wanted something simple. Shockingly, I didn't want any glitter, I know, what is this world coming to. So I have Cult Nails Nevermore as a base, with China Glaze Passion on the tips & dotted on my ring fingers.

I hope you all have a fantastic evening & can't wait to see what 2013 brings.

Post Christmas Spam

Hello lovely readers!

I know I've been absent for the past few Sundays, but wow, Elizabeth has some of the best nails and some really adorably Christmas-themed ones!

So I've been very busy lately, my job is open lunches during the holidays so I was working a lot of split shifts and not wearing a whole lot of nail polishes, but I promise that will change!

I hope all of you had an amazing Christmas, or at least an amazing holiday filled with lots of friends and family!

I have a few quick pictures of manicures to show you that I wore over the last week PLUS I received a HELMER! Yes!!! :) My boyfriend's mother was AMAZING and got me a red one!! Yay!

Just some pre-Christmas nails :) (instagram-style) ALL China Glaze

Terrible shot but Golden Gun by OPI, New Years Eve polish for sure!

Present Nails for Christmas Eve

Essie's Ruby Slippers over NYC Lincoln Park with white striper

LOVED this combo

Pretty Helmer :)

Loving the organization, but almost every drawer is half full :S Need a new one soon!
Just a quick post to show you all what I've been up to! Hope you have the most amazing New Years and I will see you in 2013! <3

Jade Vermelho Surreal

Hi loves! I can't believe it's almost the end of 2012 already! I feel that these past few months have gone by so quickly! I'm excited for the year to come, I have a lot of things I want to work on with myself, and hopefully I will get it all done.

I've shown Jade Vermelho Surreal as a base to a fancy stamping design, and in indoor lighting, but I was able to capture all it's glory in some fleeting winter sunlight. I'm not going to say anything more, just show you some drool-worthy pictures.

Om, nom, nom.

Thanks for reading, having a fantastic Saturday loves <3

Zoya Blaze

Hi loves & Happy Friday! I can't believe it's the weekend already. I am so glad I don't have to go back to work until the 7th! I will be enjoying my time off, that is for sure! Today is going to be a relatively lazy day, although I'm probably going to hit up a Chapters and buy the Lauren Conrad Style & Beauty books today.

I picked up Zoya Blaze after a recent trip to my local salon to get my eyebrows done. They have a massive Zoya core display and usually get the new collections quite quickly, I think they'll be my new go-to spot for Zoya's on the future. Blaze is a red-pink jelly scattered holographic polish and it is to die for. I wore this and even though it was dark/or in indoors, the holographic particles could still be seen somewhat and I got compliments and questions about it left, right & centre! This is 3 coats, although if I had been more careful it could possibly have been 2. Sadly I had to take this indoors as sun seems to be hard to come by these past few days.

I can't wait to wear this again. It had awesome wear time, after I paired it with the Zoya Anchor base coat, it was 5 days, no chips, just minimal tip wear!

Last Couple of Christmas Manicures

Hi my lovelies! Happy Thursday! How was everyone's Christmas? I hope you all enjoyed your day on Tuesday, with family and the like. I went Boxing Day Shopping for the first time ever yesterday and it was ok. Not  terribly busy, but I definitely didn't get any massive deals. I did plan out some future purchases and now I definitely have to work a lot in January to buy all this.

So, I have 2 last Christmas manicures for you. The first one I wore to my family Christmas party, it's a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, stamped with BM plates and China Glaze Passion.

My other manicure is fingers alternating in Dr. Remedy's Revive Ruby Red and China Glaze Jolly Holly, stamped with konad m78 & China Glaze Passion. It smudged a bit on my pinkie & ring, but oh well!

Well, I hope you all can take today off to enjoy & relax!

Merry Christmas Eve

Hi loves! Merry Christmas, I hope everyone is all ready for tomorrow! I'm getting ready to go to my traditional Christmas Eve church service and then spend time with my family, eating food, drinking & watching some traditional Christmas movies (I Love Lucy, Charlie Brown's Christmas, Frosty, etc).

For Christmas Eve, I wanted something a little sparkly, but not too over the top. I painted my nails with a base of China Glaze Holly Jolly, stamped the trees with China Glaze Passion, then fished some hex glitters out of my Milani Gems to top each of the trees & then topped all my nails with a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust.

I love this. I hope you all a fantastic Christmas.

Love you all & Merry Christmas <3

Happy Sunday! Only 2 more sleeps until Santa comes! Yesterday my boyfriend "forced" me to help him finish his Christmas shopping. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it definitely reminded me why I like to get mine done early!

It snowed a teensy bit here over Friday night, but I'm still holding out hope for some more snow to make it a real white Christmas, so in that vein, here is my offering to the snow gods, in lieu of a snow dance! The base is Sally Hansen Blue Away with the snowman & snowflakes stamped with Konad special polish in White and Bundle Monster Plate 318 & 319!

If you have snow, I'm jealous..and if you don't want any...well pray to the snow gods that it lasts from the 24th-28th or something ;)

Have a great Sunday! Thanks for reading <3

Red, White & Green

Happy Saturday Lovelies! I'm officially on Christmas Vacation, since schools around here are on break until January 7th, aka I am unemployed until then! Oh well! My boyfriend is home for a week, and on Monday my sister Katy will be home for 5 days, I am so happy!

Red, white & green is the traditional Christmas colour scheme we use in my house (with a little gold) but this year my mom changed it up and it's lime green & copper. I missed our " traditional" colours, so I decided to do a manicure to reflect those colours. I used a stamp that's been catching my eye from Bundle Monster plate 319, stamped with Zoya Sooki over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and my ring finger is China Glaze Glittering Garland.

I wish I had re-done the red stamp, it was a little messy, but its such a cool pattern. It will definitely be used again!

Thanks for reading & I hope you all have lovely Saturday's (even if they're filled with some last minute shopping!)

Holiday Glitter

Happy Friday! I'm getting so excited it's almost Christmas!

I have another holiday-themed manicure, this time inspired by Chelsea at the Nail Network. After I saw her nails, I KNEW I had to try it out. China Glaze Party Hearty just always sits in my drawer forlornly until Christmas time, then it just begs to be worn.

I sponged it over a base of Essie Marshmellow, which is such a nice squishy white!

Only 4 more sleeps until Santa comes!

Christmas Dots

Hi & Happy Thursday! How is everyone? Feelin' that mad rush to finish Christmas shopping & wrapping? I'm basically done with all that stuff, although I'm pretty sure my boyfriend will force me to go shopping with him this weekend/Christmas Eve, since he lives in a place with no mall, and refuses to online shop!

So, to continue with my "All Christmas All the Time" inspired posts, I have this little beauty from Jen that she did last year. I didn't try to attempt the tree on my ring finger, because I knew that would be a disaster! I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls as a base, then dotted with Zoya Sooki & China Glaze Jolly Holly!

Pretty easy, Pretty simple! I love this, thanks Jen for being so inspiring ;)

What do you think? Thanks for reading loves<3

Happy Pinkmas

Hi & Happy Wednesday my darlings! It's so close to Christmas, I am getting more excited each day. Today I'm teaching in an elementary school, so I hope that means either french Christmas movies or french Christmas activities!

Since it's Wednesday and that means it's Pink Wednesday, I decided to participate because I haven't in forever and after seeing a post by Cristina (of Let Them Have Polish) I just HAD to try my hand at recreating this adorable manicure. The base is OPI Mod About You, then I sponged OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls on the tips, stamped with OPI You're A Pisa Work and Konad Special White polish using konad m59 plate. I then topped it with China Glaze Fairy Lights and tah-dah!

Thanks Cris for being so inspiring ;) I'm loving this look..I could totally see it in a purple gradient as well!

Happy Pink Wednesday & Thanks for reading <3
