Snakeskin Nails: Liz Style

Happy Friday my lacquer fiends! How is everyone's weekend looking? I'm all packed up and probably on my way home and SO excited about being there for more than a weekend.

So, Katy already showed us her take on snakeskin nails, but I had to test it out for myself! I used one of my new polishes that I got from Ulta, Green With Envy, and then stamped it with Sally Hansen Gold Chrome and BM 215. In the last photo it looks blurry, but I swear its not!

Green with Envy all on it's lonesome

I told you I was on an animal print stamping kick, bit c'mon! How can I resist? It's so pretty!

Anyone else try this stamp? I want to do it in some other colour combos! I can totally see it becoming my new leopard print stamp!

Thanks for reading loves and have a great weekend <3

Navy Blue Comparison

Hi my loves! It's thursday! Who else is excited it's almost the weekend?! Just me? Today I am packing most of my room up at school and cleaning (clean ALL THE THINGS!) and tomorrow I get to go home for a month! Woo!

Anywho, I don't know if you guys actually like or are interested in comparisons, but I am always intrigued when I find I have bought similar, or the same polish, and didn't know it. I feel dumb when I see dupeish colours in my Melmer, but it just means I really like that colour I guess.

I bought Revlon Midnight Affair SO long ago. Like 3, 4? years ago, and then recently I bought Zoya Ibiza, but it took me until I was packing polishes to go to school to realize how similar they are.

The biggest difference between the two is that Midnight Affair looks as if it has teensy micro-glitter, giving it almost a texture, whereas Ibiza is a straight metallic navy blue, but otherwise..I essentially have the same colour. And I love it!

So there you have it! Both are easily available, so if you see one, you don't necessarily need the other!

Pink Wednesday Featuring What's A Dune

Hi my loves! Once again we're here and it's Wednesday, so time for another round of pink for you all :D

I have to say, I am not a huge layer-er, I don't buy layering glitter polishes or anything, because I don't really use it. However, there is always an execption to a rule, and baby I have found my exception in OPI What's A Dune. I won this baby in a giveaway back in July, but it took me forever to wear it. I needed a day of good sun, and I can't believe it took me until now to wear it.

I layered What's A Dune over OPI You're A Pisa Work! YUM!

So much holographic amazingness. I love it. This bad boy can be layered over anything and a normal creme polish becomes BAM! WOW! I love it

What are you wearing on Pink Wednesday my dears? Don't forget to check out On Wednesdays We Wear Pink and see what everyone else is wearing.

Flashy Zebra

Good morning and Happy Tuesday my loves! Sorry this is a little late, I thought I had something prepared buttttttt I guess not! Anyways, can you believe it's the last week of September? It has flown by! Insane!

Today I just have a short and sweet post for you, I've been on an animal print kick a little bit lately and so I decided to try the zebra-looking image on Bundle Monster plate 223.
I used Sally Hansen Silver Sweep as a base, which besides being an awesome stamping polish is a nice metallic silver and stamped with WnW Black Creme

And there you have it my dears. I wore this for about 5 days, because I have been a tad uninspired these days.

Anyways thanks for reading loves <3

OPI Man of La Mancha

Happy Monday my wonderfuls! This is my last week at school for a month, and I am so excited to leave.

A while ago, Sam of Fashion Polish posted this beauty and I drooled, they ran to ebay. It was a little expensive for my taste, but I am not sad I bought it. It's far too pretty. Sam's pictures are way better than mine, and make me yearn for a better camera..but oh well!

OPI Man of La Mancha is a sheer orange multichrome polish, which is best layered so I wore it over 1 coat of WnW Black Creme. Now some of my photos are a bit blurry/out of focus BUT this polish freaked my camera out and it was the only way I could show you some of the colour shifting!

Look how pretty it is, just head on! See all the sparkle?!
 Gorgeous orange shift

Look! It even shifts green! (Slightly)!

I love this polish. I think it's so awesome, especially for fall. I can't wait to wear it over more oranges, reds or browns or even greens to show it off! It can be worn alone, but I didn't want to waste it and I think the multichrome really shows up over darker colours. If you see this, grab it, do not hesistate, especially if you are a multichrome lover, like me ;)

Thanks for reading loves and have a fantastic monday!

Purple Delicious-ness

Hello friends!
I have another Rimmel Polish for you! I really can't get enough of them! This pretty is called "Night Before", before what I'm not sure, before I go out and eat cheeseburgers? Night before school starts? Night before Christmas? ANYWHO. This is pretty, it's a purple-ish blue colour (sometimes it looks blue, but mostly purple) almost inky with a subtle gold shimmer. LOVE!

trying to show you the shimmer
the purple-ness was hard to photograph

Yep, she's a keeper! I need to scope out some new Rimmel's to purchase, I only have one that I've yet to show you, so obviously it's time for some more! Cheap, fast drying, long lasting, yup, I love me some Rimmel!

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia

Good morning and Happy Saturday my loves! As you read this, I am either in a car on a 4 hour car ride to Windsor, Ontario, in a hotel room getting ready, at a wedding, partying & eating, or sleeping (depending on how late you read this!) As you know already...can you tell I am excited? Sorry, I'll stop.

Anywhoodle, as I've mentioned before, I was in the states a while ago with my mom & sister, and I snagged some polish, including this beauty from Target. I am hoping one day they will come to Canada because I passed on the pink one, but that might be a pipe dream.

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia is amazing, and I picked it up because I saw the bottle and was like, this looks like DL Bad Romance...and it pretty much is. AMAZING. Sorry DL..I want to spend $20 on your pretty polishes..but my student life prevents me. SAD.
I layered this over 2 coats of WnW Black Creme, and 1 Coat of the Revlon.

I love love loveeeee this polish. I think it's going to be featured heavily in my Halloween rotation!
If you see this baby, snap it up, you will NOT regret it. It's a beauty!

Have a wonderful saturday my loves and thanks for reading <3

Blue Skittles

Hello all my pretty lacquered loves! It's friday! I am on my way to Windsor to go to a wedding with my boyfriend and his family, and I am kind of excited, because it's going to be an Italian wedding, so, there will be SO MUCH FOOD. I can't wait. I love to eat! So, I won't be responding to comments on saturday/sunday, but I'll get to them on monday! So don't feel like I don't love you, I do! I'm just eating LOL!

Ok, so a couple of wednesday's ago I posted these pink skittle nails, and like I said yesterday, I have to stop myself, I tend to have lots of colour combinations when I do designs! And the skittles nails were too cute to leave at just pink. So I did them in blue, LOL!

I wore Orly Blue Collar on my pinky and thumb (not pictured), Sally Hansen Blue Away on my ring and index, and then OPI Russian Navy suede on my middle. I stamped my index with konad white and plate m79, and then plate BM 16 and China Glaze First Mate, (*whew*).

Isn't it CUTE?! Ah, I am obsessed with skittle nails. PEOPLE, stop me!

I hope you all have a fantastic friday and a wonderful weekend! Thanks for reading <3

Red Lace Nails

Hi my wonderfuls! How is everyone today? I am so happy because it's almost time for me to go home for the month! Yeah!

Today's nails are a combination I've shown before, this time I changed it up to red and black! I used a base of OPI Vodka and Caviar, then stamped the flower image from BM 221, then stamped again using the fishnet pattern from m57, both with WnW Black Creme.

I think I like this combination more than the grey & black one I showerd before! There are so many other colour combinations  I could use for this, I'll need to try and not get carried away!

Anyone else try the lace nails trend?

Thanks for reading my dears <3

Pink Wednesday Fail

Good morning and happy hump day! I am really back into counting down the days now that I'm back in school! So lame! Anyways! It's wednesday, which means...We Wear Pink!

Except, today is what I like to call a Pink fail :(, also an essie fail? Since I found my first essie I don't really like! I bought Essie Ballet Slippers, because I thought it was a nice light pink shade. But, I put it on and it was a hot mess. It was super streaky and took like 4-5 coats to be opaque, and then the shade  I thought was kind of ugly.  I mattified it, hoping it would help..but it didn't.

So want to see my fail?
*hangs head*

See? No bueno...UGH. It isn't pink enough, but it's not white enough...and just yeuchhhh. Liz no likey!

Anyways, I think I can throw this one in the swap/franken pile for sure!

Sally Hansen Emerald Amethyst

Good morning loves! How's everyone? I am feeling just a teensy bit stressed right now, which seems ridiculous, because hello, teacher's college is supposed to be easy! But they're trying to prepare us for our first practicum, so they're throwing a lot of theoretical assignments these days..ugh!

I have another pretty polish for you all! I bought this Sally Hansen Nail Prism basically because of the name, because my birthstone is an amethyst and I also love emeralds, but it's also a stunner of a polish!

It obviously shifts purple and green, but it's seriously so pretty. I love it! Again, sorry for the awkward hand positions, but it shows off this bad boy.

Look at the bottle in that last shot, SO COOL.

Anyone else have any other SH Prisms? I have 1 other one, but I am always on the hunt for the elusive Turquoise Opal!

Monday Blues: Glacier Bay Blues

Hello and Happy Monday lovelies! Everyone have a good weekend? I did and I'm already looking forward to the next one LOL!

I have a bit of the monday blues because I just spent a nice weekend and home, and now I have to suffer another 4 days of school..bleh! So, to cure my monday blue, I present to you, OPI Glacier Bay Blues!

This polish is SO pretty, and so awesome. 1) It's part of the Canadian Collection (yeah, represent!) and 2) It's a multichrome! But my camera kind of fails to show it! It is a dark blue polish that flashes teal, turquoise and even purple, although you will just have to take my word for it, since despite my weird hand positions, I couldn't coax out the multichrome in my photos!

It looks like there are some bald spots/VNL but there really aren' camera likes to play practical jokes sometimes...

This last picture is the closest I could get to the purple/blue/teal that the polish flashes. *sigh* You'll just have to take my word for it!

Anyways thanks for reading loves and happy monday! <3

Franken Time!

Hello my friends!
I have so cool new things to show you! Before I even got into this whole nail polish world, Elizabeth told me about frankening, so I gave it a try! Today I have two of my own creations to show you, they aren't particularly original but I like 'em! I made both of these about...3 months ago.
First up is Rimmel Stop Traffic, a super hot pink, that I added a ton of black to which gave me a great purple. I would say I added about 40 drops to make it this color.

you can definitely see this pink still in this

Next up, I got a little bit creative, I had a Rimmel Clear Nail polish ( I used to think these were top coats...dear god...) which I added a little bit of a dark turquoise shimmer eyeshadow. This was too sheer so I added about 15 drops of China Glaze Shower Together, NYC Glitter and Sally Hansen's Disco Ball to make it extra special.
I really liked what I came up with here

If I had more sun that day you could've definitely have seen the glitter a bit more.

That's it for me today! Hope you enjoyed my two creations and I can't wait to make more.

I love Ulta

Hi loves. It's the weeeeeeekend! Wee. I'm home chillen, enjoying the home life, hanging out with my parents. It's good times, seriously!

Anyways, as the title says, I love Ulta! I wish we had them in Canada. We're really missing out. I bought a few of their Ulta Brand polishes, and they're so pretty!

The one I have to show you today is Ulta Cocktails Anyone? and man it's so pretty. I love this purple!

Then, because I wanted to jazz it up a bit, I stamped my nails with plate m 63 and Sally Hansen Gold Chrome

So cute! I love houndstooth! I have to be careful when I'm buying dress clothes, I always gravitate towards this pattern!

Anways, short and sweet, I hope you're all out enjoying your saturdays! Thanks for reading <3
