Hi loves! SO today I have something kind of exciting to show you, um but I feel dumb that I didn't know! So wayyy back when I posted about OPI My Private Jet, and because I sucked at photos, basically everyone, myself included, decided I had the new version.
Well, I had the bottle in the sunlight one day, and it was SUPER holographic, and so then I was thinking, maybe I do have the older version? It was definitely not the brown with silver flecks that has been showing up recently.
I really don't know what I have,but I'll throw up some pictures, which really do it justice, and YOU tell ME. Which one do I have?!
The bottle...yeah...I can't believe I didn't see that until now...
So, you see? I don't know. I feel dumb. Is this the new version or the old one? Either way, it's WAYY better than what I thought I had. Anyone have the original original to say for sure? I wish I had never missed out on it.

This still looks like the new version to me but I freaking love this polish so I cannot be mad at it even if it's not as holo as the old one. I want it on my toes now!
ReplyDeleteI think there are at least 3 versions...pretty sure this is the middle version. I think the original was more black than brown with holo but not 100% sure on that.

Like others have said, i think you have the brown-holo middle version. I own the original and it's much darker and definitely no hints of brown! But hey, a chocolate brown holo certainly isn't one i'd kick out of my collection :P A gorgeous polish either way!

ReplyDeleteThe only one they show and describe on the OPI site says a deep black with glints of glamour. Yours definitely looks more brown.

ReplyDeleteHave you tried shaking the bottle like crazy? I don't have MPJ, but with my other holos, when you super shake the bottle they become more holo =)

This is definitely the new (or a fake). The old one looks different in the bottle and on than yours. I agree - I have seen 3 versions also. But I sort of was thinking the lightest of them all is a fake that is floating around....or OPI did another batch and they or some distributors just found boxes and boxes of it stashed in warehouses where it had been lost to time. I have seen that happen quite a few times with colors that are hard to find. I am king of wondering why so many MAAH are suddenly showing up now on eBay. Warehouse stashes found or a ton of fauxs hitting the ligit dealers and no one really knowing they are selling a far east knock off.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for the "middle version". You have the good "old" holo effect, but your is brown instead of blck like he old version. Anyway you slice it, its a gorgeous brown holo! Win Win!!!
