Remembering and Celebrating

Hi loves.

Today's post is a little bit more serious, and a bit more sad than what I normally post. A year ago on the 16th, Katy and my grandfather passed away from Alzheimer's, and this past Wednesday my family finally had his cremation internment ceremony. Katy and I decided to do nails inspired by him for the ceremony. His favourite flower was always a forget-me-not, and since that is the symbol of Alzheimer's, we thought it was only fitting to do nails inspired by him.
I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Blue Away, and stamped with the Bundle Monster plate BM 13 and yellow rhinestones as the centres.

and Katy's nails- Sally Hansen Grass Slipper with Joe Fresh Pineapple and Finger Paints Cerulean Seascape

sorry that my cuticles are ugly, I took this after I worked in a warehouse..

Thanks for reading guys & Happy Friday :)

  1. These are both beautiful manicures! I love the white on blue. I think the whole idea is very touching. I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your grandfather last year--Alzheimer's is a tough thing to watch your loved ones go through. I'm sure he would appreciate your dedication to him :)
